The winds of change

As the weather and the seasons don't know where or what is going on, there is a nice warm breeze here in the NE Scotland, some days in nice others it's raining cats and dogs, flood warning are out and the streets are small rivers in some towns. The farmer is almost happy with the last few days, working all night to get the grain cut, drying it 24hrs a day and the lorries are arriving to pick it up to go for malting.

Are we still in summer or is it now autumn? At work it is Christmas! Yesterday was the first demo of the season with Erika Gunter from Personal Impressions showing our customers what its all about.

In planning our store demos, I have to look at the new ranges that are available, predict trends and best sellers, make sure we have plenty of stock and discuss with the demonstrators what's going to be on the table. Other than colours and products, a few simple directions, I usually leave the girls to do their own thing. I am never disappointed, there is always something new and different on the table.

Erika had the easy task of promoting the new clear stamps from Personal Impressions which are in stock over on Funkykits and I know these are going to be popular this year. I am itching to play with these myself but I have a lot of commitments at the moment and play time will have to wait a little longer.

Can you guess which colours I have favoured this season?

An elegant Christmas tree embossed with Opaque White and a little bling makes a classy card.

The stepper card proved interesting to our customers, some even stopping to copy down measurements.
Try googling it and your will find many but here is a simple one to follow.

Another of my favourites this year is the baubles & Greetings which reminds me
so much of Papertrey Ink which I have a slight addiction to.
{Better still these are UK made and much better value for the pound
with no added postage or import tax.
Win win every time, you just need the vision to be able to play with these stamps in the same way and I might be able to help you there, I'll keep you posted.}

(sorry cant get this pic to turn)

YES one that loads the right way!

a few cherry picked lines that I know you'll all love including the
new DO crafts goodie bag at £12.50
fantastic value

Jenny has not worked in Aberdeenshire before but is a popular demonstrator and teacher in Morayshire.
A new face with fresh ideas is just what we were looking for when we asked if she would like to demo in the new store, we are so pleased she said yes!
Come along to the the FREE demonstration day with lot's of promotions and special offers and
not forgetting FREE gifts just for Sat 8th.

Sunday will see me back teaching, (dragged out of retirement yet again) a very special class which I

The winds of change...............
I have had much thoughts on changing trends and I have decided that the new CHRISTMAS stamps will be launched by next weekend and all SIX are going to be DIGI!

There are many reasons for this but trust me when I tell you that this will please many of our customers with instant availability and no postal costs.
Digi's offer more detailed art work which you can size to please your own crafting needs.
This month will also see SIMPLY SASSY go digital, this will  be especially good for those sold out stamps.

You will see SUGAR NELLIE digital grown weekly as we load up our back catalogue.

We will still be making rubber, our catalogue is so big if we don't make changes we will have to move to bigger premises and that is something I don't want to do.

Sugar Nellie rubber stamps will be available within the USA this Autumn something I know many of our
international customers are waiting for.

I have much to keep me busy and I hope that I will be able to keep all the balls in the air at once.

Sheesh Karen! I think you exceeded your "100 words" allowance :)

Erika's card are always stunning and I love her cards made with PI products..that Christmas tree stamp is fab!
I can see what you mean about the Baubles and Greetings set being similar to PTI, though I didn't know you had a slight addiction to them...wonder who led you astray this time?

I know Jenny too, and I also love her cards...she sent me a real stunner made with Pippi, though I have no idea how she could know I luvs Pippi?

I know digi's are very popular, instant gratification and all that...but I love rubber! I find digis a nightmare to colour but...my hubby is buying himself a new printer with his birthday pennies. An A3 size for his photography addiction - and it happens to also print out with waterproof ink so I may soon become a digi lover too :)

Big hugs

Great cards from Erika. So pleased the sassys are going digital. I do love my rubber but digis don't take up space in the craftroom and my SN collection just keeps growing and growing. Great news too for the sold out ones. Congrats to the lucky winner.

Hi Karen

Gorgeous stamps - love that white Christmas tree which has made a fabulous card!

Glad to hear you're also going digital.. I use lots of digi images so will be a frequent customer!!

Also btw, I had the same problem with photos going sideways, and not being able to correct them. I eventually found out that if you go to the pic on your computer, save it as a different type of file (ie not a jpeg)... it's then fine to blog!! Weird.. but it works!

Hugs

Eeekkkk am so excited you are doing Sassy's in digi format. I suffer with Joint Hypermobility Syndrome and so can't stamp with usual rubber so have found digis a godsend. Can't wait for the new realease too. xx
